Hello lovelies! As you all know if you’re familiar with us, being a family-run local business is very important to us. We love being part of our little seaside town and offering affordable clothing that you can feel good in – whether that’s a new pair of shoes or a full outfit.
You’ll see a lot of what we have to offer, from plus size clothing to vegan handbags, on our website and across social but we wanted to introduce the people behind our business.
Gloria is the founder and brainchild behind The Secret Wardrobe which first opened in Louth in 2009 and then in Cleethorpes in 2011. You may not see her in store because her focus is mainly behind the scenes, she is an important part of the buying process and the running of the Secret Wardrobe.
She splits her time between running successful businesses and her family of whom she says are her greatest achievement.
Kip joined his wife Gloria and became a co-owner of The Secret Wardrobe in 2011.
You're most likely to see him at our shop Wednesday through to the weekend and there's nothing that he won't get stuck into, whether it be helping you find that special something, steaming our newest arrivals or recycling coat hangers and cardboard, we don't know where we'd be without him.
The most important thing to Kip barring our little shop is his family - he's a doting husband, father and grandfather.
Lucy joined The Secret Wardrobe in 2011 and has been a co-owner since 2016, she hit the ground running and hasn't stopped since. Lucy mainly focuses her time on buying products, social media and the website as well as managing all aspects of the day to day running of the business.
You're likely to find her in store between Wednesday and Saturday…if you don't spot her on the shop floor there's a good chance she'll be in the office as Lucy is also your main point of contact and deals with all customer queries.
Other than work she enjoys spending time with her husband, travelling (when she can!) and the love of her life Georgie (their cat).
The newest member of the dream team, Jenny joined our team just over a year ago and she has been a part of the family ever since. She is an integral part of our sales team, you will most likely see her smiley face welcoming you in store on a Monday and Tuesday.
Jenny fits in well as she is driven and creative but most importantly she's kind and big on family.
Jenny is a mother of 3 – or 4 if you include her handsome pooch Mylo!
They’re Finally Here…New Tote Bags!
Our new tote bags have arrived! They're eco-friendly and made from responsibly sourced natural cotton (not to mention they’ll make your grocery shop more stylish).
They are available to purchase online or in-store for just £5 and £1 of this will be donated to a chosen charity. To spread the support, we have decided to rotate charities periodically and our first charity of choice is St Andrew’s Hospice in Grimsby.
What better way to be environmentally conscious while also supporting a fantastic charity.
